What will ATN Do with the Money?
Grow Our Network to Heal Children of Early Childhood Trauma. The goals of this project are:
- Enlighten the public about the plight of traumatized children and their families.
- Educate parents/caregivers about treatments and specialized parenting.
- Expand awareness of the prevalence and effects of childhood trauma and attachment disorder.
- Enable more families to connect with resources and other parents for support.
- Encourage more therapists, adoption professionals, social workers, educators and professionals to provide healing resources to these children and families.
This grant will fund our Outreach Plan to raise awareness about early childhood trauma. Specifically, it will include:
- A social media plan of online advertising, increased social networking, use of e-newsletters and videos
- Bi-monthly webinar trainings for parents.
- Distributing print materials through professional resources to families.
- Targeted outreach to mental health professionals and post-adoption resources
- Presenting/speaking at workshops and conferences.
