About ATN The Attachment & Trauma Network (ATN) was formed in 1995, when three adoptive mothers came together for support. Nancy Spoolstra was one of the founding members and continues today as the organization's President of the Board. The network has grown into an international organization that provides training at regional and national adoption conferences, operates six on-line support communities, maintains a database of worldwide therapists and resources, and is the premier support, education and advocacy system for those raising traumatized and attachment-disordered children. ATN is perhaps best known for its newsletter, Hoofbeats: News from the Attachment & Trauma Network, which is printed bimonthly for over 350 member families. ATN volunteers handle over 60 calls per month on our support hotline. ATN distributes packets of information on attachment issues, resources, and training opportunities at trainings both regionally and nationally and has established its reputation nationally as a significant resource for adoptive and families. |
